Tania reminds me of my mother, who, although she didn’t have a college degree, was someone who didn’t let the wounds of her childhood define her. She was very different from how she had been raised and set an example of love, understanding, and encouragement to keep moving forward—things she didn’t receive in her early years. On the contrary, she suffered only abuse and resentment, but she was very different from all that; she was a human being who served as a role model in many ways.
