Hello dear food lovers. Last week I and my husband went out for lunch at one restaurant called Evergreen Restaurant. The place is located in Donggongon town, about 25 minutes from Kota Kinabalu.
The place is an opened-air complimented with ceiling fans.

Since there were only two of us, we opt to order Butter Pork with salted Egg. I imagined the dish to be like the above.
However, I was disappointed to be served as per above. My husband said maybe we did not mention 'Wet Butter', that's why they served it crispy dried. Since my husband need to rush to his office after lunch, we just ate what was served. Surprisingly the dish was delicious without the 'Wet Butter' 馃槀
Next we ordered this Bitterguard with Black Bean. It was perfectly cooked, the graviness of the sauce was perfectly done and the Bittergourd was well-cooked, not too overly cooked and not too bitter. It tasted so delicious just as I imagined it will be.
For drinks, we both ordered this refreshing Iced Lemon Tea. Totally worth to drink on a hot sunny day.
We enjoyed our simple lunchhere. The food that we order were simple yet delicious. Its a great place to have a quick meal anytime of the day. Great place to relax and hangout with friends too.
