Social Media Challenge: Splinterlands Weekly (Mar 3 - Mar 9) + Brawl Report

Greetings everyone, how is everybody doing this week? I am enjoying the game and exploring how all the new soul bound cards can fit into my various lineups. It was many up and down, big series of wins with big drops of losses as well. Today I will be sharing on my account growth and also doing a brawl report for PIZZA 2.

Let's start things off with how my collection power increased since the last update.

I am really glad in the number of cards gotten. It helps me to level up the common cards to be able to put them to use to reduce the penalty from playing low level cards. I really do hope to get my hands on more of the epic and legendary cards to significantly improve my card pool. Hoping for more cards then I will shift my goal to Silver 1.

Brawl Report
Time for some brawl action! Let's take a look look at the matches I played this brawl. As usual, I am anchoring Fray 3 for my guild which is the Novice Chaos Legion Fray, so cards will be at lowest form without additional levelled up stats/abilities.

After seeing the lineup my opponent picked. I realized I should have pick more range cards since it is no magic and back to basics.

Outcome: Lost! While I did pick high health cards, they were all sitting duck till they come to the front position. I should have picked more range cards.

I regret my pick. What was I thinking, I pick Osha ahead of Quora. When I saw what my opponent picked, without clicking rumble, I know the outcome.

Outcome: Lost. Opponent's Quora power through blast through my lineup.

When I saw Grum, I shivered a little. I hope Katie can grow faster before Grum wrecks me.

Outcome: Win! Katie did a fair bit of work, taking many of my opponent lineup while Conjurer held up well.

I opted for a range heavy lineup vs my opponent whom picked a big tank with more magic cards in lineup.

Outcome: Win! My range attackers hit heavier than my opponent and helped me secure the victory.

Oh my, facing 1 blood lust card is tough, now I am facing 2. I have to admit, my opponent's lineup is really good.

Outcome: Lost. Very nice play by my opponent. Strong cards with good placement.

Guild Final Tally

I am assigned 5 matches this brawl, I won 2 and lost 3. I didn't play well this brawl and I will need to improve in my gameplay. Getting more cards and playing smarter.

We came in at 4th position. Number of wins is definitely lacking. Let's learn from our mistakes, refine our gameplay and get better next brawl. Go PIZZA 2!

Thoughts about Splinterlands Journey
Brawls are getting tougher especially with the addition of the new soul bound cards. Need to accelerate on my learning and finding the right mix for the right rule set, especially there is now triple ruleset occurring during brawl which limit the pool of cards available for use.
