Snezhanka is a peak in the Rhodopes , Bulgaria.
It is located 15 km away from the town of Smolyan . The peak is 1926 m high and is the highest peak in the region of Pamporovo and Bukova Mountain . At the top there is a television tower with a height of 156 meters, which is 2082 m high. Its 2019 m coffee view has a wonderful view.
The average annual temperature is 3.2 ° C, the average July is about 12 ° C, and the average January is -6 ° С. The average annual precipitation amounts to 1200 mm, which exceeds Botev peak in Stara Planina and Cherni vrah in Vitosha . The relatively low average annual wind speed (6 m / s), combined with the high-altitude climate at the summit, allows the snow cover to continue from mid-November to May.
Snezhanka Peak is among the 100 National Tourist Sites of the Bulgarian Tourist Union . The seal of the BTS is at the entrance of the television tower at the top and in the mountain rescue service to the Studenets hut.
The hut can be reached by Lifts 2,4,5,6 and 7.
