A small bay that was dammed in 2005 on the mainland of Lhokseumawe Island, now known as the Pusong Reservoir. In the past, this pool of water that jutted into the land that was directly connected to the main waters of the Malacca Strait was a lagoon or was known by sailors who stopped there before the 20th century as Laguna Teluk Samawi.
The area that used to be a dock for small boats has now become a fish breeding ground. This deliberate modification has altered both its name and function.
I flew the drone toward the middle of the reservoir to shoot in all directions. Here's an aerial view at the sunset on a suddenly cloudy afternoon.
