La Condesa Sangrienta.

In the midst of her virulent frenzy, the Countess turns to look at herself in the mirror and it seems to her that where the blood of her clumsy maid has fallen, the skin has become smoother and the wrinkles have disappeared. . 🔴Según cuentan los cronistas de la época, desde pequeña Elizabeth experimentó violentos ataques de ira, los cuales fueron catalogados como ataques de epilepsia. Se casó a la edad de 15 años con el Condé Ferenc Nadasdy de 26, mejor conocido como el " Caballero Negro" por la implacable persecución que mantenía en contra de los Otomanos. Así pues, la vida de nuestra asesina transcurria solitaria y aburrida, mitigando el tedio con los diversos castigos que le imponía a sus desdichados sirvientes. Hasta este punto el relato que hoy les traigo parece ser la típica historia de una perversa dama aristócrata de la época feudal, pero el verdadero horror estaba por comenzar.
Pongámonos en contexto. Estamos en el Reino de Hungría, transcurre aproximadamente el año de 1604, la cruel Condesa acaba de enviudar a sus 44 años de edad, el Castillo de Čachtice ha quedado bajo su absoluta regencia y allí esta ella en su habitación, en un nefasto día en el que una de sus jóvenes sirvientas, en un descuido, le hala el cabello mientras la peina, desatando la ira de Elizabeth que se desquita golpeandola fuertemente en la cara, causándole una herida que al sangrar le salpica el rostro. En medio de su virulento frenesí la Condesa se da vuelta para mirarse en el espejo y le parece que en las partes en las que le ha caído la sangre de su torpe criada , la piel se ha vuelto más tersa y las arrugas han desaparecido ... Sangre! Había encontrado la fuente de la belleza y la juventud.

The best known of these is the sadly famous "Lady or Iron Virgin" which was a kind of drawer whose interior was covered with sharp blades, which stuck into the bodies of the victims who were introduced into it, causing them numerous injuries that it did not cause death immediately, but agonized painfully and prolonged bleeding to death.

De allí en adelante el baño de sangre no paró, Ficzko y Dorottya con la colaboración de otras brujas locales llamadas Helena y Prioska constantemente reclutaban jovencitas para proveer de sangre a la perturbada Condesa.
La crueldad y el sadismo de Elizabeth fueron aumentando, instaló en el sótano del Castillo una horrorosa Cámara de tortura, incluso mando a construir infernales artefactos destinandos a causar el mayor suplicio posible a sus víctimas.
El más conocido de estos es la tristemente celebre " Dama o Virgen de hierro " Que era un especie de cajon cuyo interior se encontraba recubierto de filosas hojillas, las cuales se clavaban en el cuerpo de las víctimas que eran introducidas en él, provocandoles numerosas heridas que no les causaba la muerte de manera inmediata, sino que agonizaban dolorosa y prolongadamente desangrándose hasta morir.

Let us remember that our history takes place during the European feudal era, therefore the death of a servant was unimportant, quite the opposite occurred if the deceased belonged to a noble family. Rumors soon began to spread, until one of the victims managed to escape and reported the events to the authorities.
The Count of Thurzo, who was Elizabeth's cousin and staunch enemy, investigated the case at the request of King Matthias II of Hungary, and on December 30, 1610, he entered the Castle of Čachtice with his men. The stage was Dantesque, bleeding bodies, instruments of torture, traces of blood everywhere. It is said that in the dungeons of the Castle he found several young women who were badly wounded but who were still repeating, a large number of corpses that were buried in the gardens of the Castle were exhumed, and finally the Countess and her accomplices were captured. But the most macabre finding was Elizabeth's diary, in which she painstakingly described her terrible practices.
🔴Golpes, mutilaciones, quemaduras, mordiscos, el sadismo de Elizabeth era insaciable, cada vez requería de más víctimas para conservar su belleza y saciar su retorcido apetito de sangre. Asesinaba diariamente, de hecho en el juicio que posteriormente se celebró en su contra, su cómplice y mayordomo Ficzko, confesó que en un solo día ella había asesinado a aproximadamente a 37 jóvenes. El número de víctimas creció tanto que pronto las campesinas y plebeyas comenzaron a sospechar y se rehusaban a prestar sus servicios como criadas en el castillo, por lo que la Condesa tuvo que recurrir entonces a las jóvenes nobles y de buena familia... Esto fue su perdición.
Recordemos que nuestra historia se desarrolla durante la época feudal europea, por lo tanto la muerte de un criada carecía de importancia, todo lo contrario ocurría si la fallecida pertenecía a una familia noble. Pronto comenzaron a correr los rumores, hasta que una de las víctimas logró escapar y denunció los hechos ante las autoridades.
El Conde de Thurzo, quien era primo y acérrimo enemigo de Elizabeth investigó el caso por petición del Rey Matías II de Hungría, y el 30 de diciembre del año 1610 entró con sus hombres al Castillo de Čachtice. El escenario era dantesco, cuerpos desangrados, instrumentos de tortura, rastros de sangre por todos lados. Se dice que en las mazmorras del Castillo encontró a varias jóvenes mal heridas pero que aún repiraban, se exhumaron gran cantidad de cadáveres que se encontraban sepultados en los jardines del Castillo y finalmente se capturaron a la Condesa y a sus cómplices. Pero el hallazgo más macabro fue el diario de Elizabeth, en el cual describía minuciosamente sus terribles prácticas.
🔵Elizabeth Bàthory was sentenced to life imprisonment and confined to her room whose door was closed leaving only a tiny window through which food was supplied to her, she died alone four years later. After many discussions, his body was buried in the family mausoleum in the town of Ecsed, but today the whereabouts of his remains are unknown.

🔴Elizabeth Bàthory fue sentenciada a Cadena perpetua y recluida en su habitación cuya puerta fue clausurada dejando sólo una diminuta ventana por medio de la cual le suministraban alimentos, murió sola cuatro años después. Luego de muchas discusiones su cuerpo fue enterrado en el mausoleo familiar en el pueblo de Ecsed, sin embargo hoy en día se desconoce el paradero de sus restos.
Al menos esto cuenta la leyenda...
