There is a lot of viral and trending news in my country at the moment, from politics, to education, entertainment, lifestyles and many more. Social media is buzzing and there is something new to trend daily, different news has just gone viral.

It's just also amazing that the media now makes ordinary moments turn into life changing opportunities for many people. Many Nigerians now use the media to showcase their talents, creativity, personalities, share unique stories and even perspectives on life to an audience beyond their immediate environment.

The ongoing trend of a Nigerian model, Rachel Ojuromi has really stood out for me amongst every other trend this month, the beautiful Nigerian model went viral after sharing a video of herself modeling a recreated Chanel look on the streets of Lagos, the model shows her talents on Lagos Street with pride and elegance, her channel dresses might not be original, but she carried them beautifully. Guess who now has a big opportunity to walk in Chanel鈥檚 Spring/Summer 2027 show in Paris? Rachel Ojuromi, from the street of Lagos to Chanel鈥檚 Spring/Summer 2027 show.

A recreated video in the streets of Lagos, attracted millions of views and eventually granted her an opportunity to fulfill her dreams, what makes this particular story fascinating to me is how something that started on the streets of Lagos, got recognition and granted her an opportunity to walk on an international stage.

This trend has taught me the importance of consistency, Rachel Ojuromi was just doing her thing, consistently and an opportunity presented itself from there, and it's obvious that her talent, her discipline, determination and character have just made way for her. What was just a mere content shoot in the streets and market of Lagos has given her an opportunity that will change her life entirely.

Very important, I learnt not to underestimate little beginning, there's always a beginning and our ability to keep up, regardless of what people say, is what makes the difference. It may look like no one is paying attention to the little effort, but someone is out there looking and our efforts could lead to something great tomorrow, never underestimate the little beginning of a person.

The media is beyond communication and meeting new friends, it's now a place where you can bag big opportunities just by displaying your talents and creativity, when I hear stories like this, I see the media differently and these are the kind of stories that deserve to be talked about everywhere. You could be doing what you do on the media and someone is watching somewhere , the media gives opportunities. Nigeria has a lot of talented people who may never be discovered, but with social media there is hope for recognition.

Also, I have seen many people trends in my country and, the next week, no one is talking about them, they seem boring, and their trend disappears, even those that got opportunity but couldn't utilize it properly, and that's how another person becomes the center of attention and I have also seen those who were able to handle it properly, utilize the opportunity they gained from going viral, and I have learned that the real goal shouldn't simply be only becoming viral but also building something meaningful that can survive after the trend is over, utilizing the opportunities that come with the trend.

In conclusion, this is one trend that reminds me that opportunity can come from anything you do, just start with what you have, stay consistent, never listen to the negative voice of people and allow what you do to open doors for you. A big congratulations to Rachel Ojuromi, I'm genuinely happy for that beautiful black queen.
