Stop Sign on the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and Prospect Ave., Disney's Hollywood Studios
You're at Disney's Hollywood Studios, walking near the front of the park and enjoying the early 20th-century street, when all of the sudden you hear DING DING DING, you look over, and you see an old traffic light changing at a slow-ish pace.
"Wow," you think, as a vintage 1929 Cadillac rolls by; "Disney's Imagineers really put a lot into this atmosphere!". And that they did!
And because of that little extra, the Imagineers put into making the park seriously authentic, it gives you an opportunity that no other photographer elsewhere has. Where else can you travel to Mexico, then Italy, then Japan, and then hop in a time machine and visit a 1940's Hollywood, then travel to a modern day New York, after visiting a movie set; go to outer space, and land in a world of tomorrow? All in one day?
I doubt that's one of Peter Lik's daily itineraries. But at Disney World you can. And that's what makes Disney World such an amazing place to visit with your camera.
