I have striven to dispel this claim as often as I have heard it. All Steem was ninjamined. The only Hive and Steem now not ninjamined is that produced through the inflationary rewards. It was no more illegitimate than your or my stake.

The reason for the fork was the claim that stake was for development, not due in any sense to it's method of creation. It was suddenly in the wallet of an individual that demonstrated using stake pledged to not be used for governance exactly contrary to that pledge.

For near a month fervent discussion, including private meetings between witnesses and proxy.token supporters was ongoing. I myself undertook some of it. I repeatedly heard of folks proposing exactly what happened, and I counseled proxy.token voters to prevent that from happening. Ignorance of the consequences could only have been deliberate.

No one on Steem owned any Hive tokens until the creators of Hive gave them away. You, nor I, earned one Hive token prior to that gift to us. How can you claim they were yours or mine by right?

I was given my Hive tokens without any demand, and I have no complaint. Had I not been gifted those tokens, I would still have no right to complain, because I didn't buy them from their creators.

Until that is agreed on by you, we cannot agree.

I understand your dismay that the extortion undertaken to gain financial benefits sought by proxy.token voters was used to exclude them from the airdrop, but I do not agree it was in anyway some violation of their rights.

There is no right to a gift.
