The entire Steem Community became dual citizens of both HIVE and Steem at the moment of the fork. If Hive is not Steem as you've said, then why are some Hiveians excluded from an airdrop because of their voting activity on a different chain with a stake that was not in controversy?

The entire cause of the fork was the "illegitimate" ninja-mined stake and how it was used to prop up one man's sock puppets. The idea that the stake of regular Hiveians will get excluded from the new chain based on their actions on an old chain when they were regular Steemians doesn't make any sense and was never discussed.

The proof in the pudding for that was the metric that "they did not unvote" select witnesses or proxies before the announcement of HIVE. Only the witnesses knew when and if they were going to trigger a fork, so these Steemians with as little as 1k Steem would have had to have been mind readers to know they were voting to not be included in the new direction the community was heading.

As I've said before, there is a myriad of reasons in which people choose to vote the way they do. It should never be the job of a witness to be judge jury and executioner of a Hiveians stake whose assets were not in contention in the first place. To set such a noxious precedent at the very birth of the chain, should cause any investor great pause.

The sooner it's fixed, the more legit we look like as an investment vehicle. The longer it goes on unfixed, the more we come off like a cult that rejects the opinions of voters by eating their stake on the sister chain. And yes, it is their stake, they are Hivians too. Their stake wasn't in contention and had nothing to do with the controversy.

The only thing controversial about those 300, is who they voted for, and in a legitimate system of voting, we don't get to interrogate voters. We don't get to determine the benefits they receive, based on who they voted for, or why. Now, if this thing is a cult, I'd probably end up agreeing with you. And I'm hoping, I really am hoping that is not what this is.

You see shock and dismay that Justin is censoring people on Steem because they are shit-talking the chain and encouraging people to migrate to HIVE. How is that any better or worse than cannibalizing the stake of Hivians because of who they voted for with a legitimate stake in a free election on Steem?

Thus far, both chains are starting to look like gutter, Tiger King, bullshit. And to be quite frank, I'm not sure how long I'll stick around for it. Perhaps it is the nature of this style blockchain in particular. But I'll tell you one thing, if we can't get our collective shit together and do right by Hivians, then we will immediately bleed out to the blockchain that does get it right someday.
