When such cities as above are built and then abandoned, without any real attempt to match production to a market, there is clearly fraud ongoing. There are multiple such in China, and problems like Evergrande are the obvious result of such frauds. The BlackRock gambit to conceal that fraud is a natural extension of the identical purpose of the $T's in QE they have pumped into zombie corporations keeping the stock market afloat.
It's just tricks with fiat conjured out of thin air. I am surprised anyone values that crap at all. I am trading out of fiat as quickly as possible and into durable foods, whiskey, ammo and etc. However, I am investing in goodwill because that is what keeps such goods valuable to me. Without the goodwill of my community, I would just be providing stockpiles for raiders.
