I remember reading the other day that Evergrande was in such bad shape because they did some shoddy work, I can't recall if they said it was on a housing project or shopping center, the loss was in the billions. I do recall though that back during the housing crisis here in 2007-08 that China was doing some massive building of cities to keep the world economy afloat. Maybe the whole thing has come around full circle to bite them. If I recall right there wasn't a demand for the infrastructure it was more about, I am trying to think of how to say it, it was more about placing demand for products.
