I could hardly agree more with the sentiments you express. However, despite the incessant flogging of the antithesis of what we desire, I don't think it's as little and late as we are so often told it is. I think we're being lied to mercilessly and that a great many people, perhaps most, agree with us, differing in details of course.

I like having electric heaters. They're super-convenient. My use of them isn't capitulation to The Man, nor does it make me incapable of building a fire. I ran across this pic recently, and it fits into so many different discussions, I keep pasting it into them.

I think a lot of the gaslighting about how gaslit people are is pictures like this, fake news about fake people. I don't think the incompetence is as complete or widespread as is impressed upon us, and I think this because I have been surprised by people on the other side revealing competence and traits that are, I had thought, incompatible with their political views.

People are incredible, and I mean that in every sense of the word. Thanks for stretching my grasp of these topics and convincing me I need to apply myself more lest I grow in ignorance.
