I already admitted that I know that there is no exact point in time where things shift from central- to decentralization. When hyperinflation begins, you have to be already self-sustainable, or else. For the most people, 'or else' will be reality.

I've seen plenty of videos on the primitive skill channels, so I know these contents quite well. I have to say though, that nowhere in my small and very populated country you have wilderness, open properties, open spaces like you have, for example, in other nations, which still are not so developed, or do have vast landscapes where no one hinders you to enter them. The rare places here where you have isolated land, this land is either hard to reach (mountains) or land, barely usable, has neither rich vegetation, nor rocks or other hard materials and/or is below sea level.

In order to achieve a self-determined life using local technology and knowledge, there must be a far greater increase in the cost of current living conditions, greater suffering and such, otherwise no one will set out, as we know. But perhaps you are talking about a time after the great inflation and depression and people who will be able to save their lives and their knowledge into the future?

I tried to find people to teach them sewing in person but nobody is interested so far. They still have it too good to want to know about acquiring certain skills. After all, when prices sky-rocket, food and heating will be the most important thing. I guess that the central powers will make that suffering to last for quite some time, before they come with the solution of a conditioned digitized universal income. And since we are a fully developed country with decreasing intelligence and skills (though I hope I am wrong), the people are most likely going to accept it. Except the youth and further generation change in an unforeseen and positive way, which I do not exclude.

I have played the devils advocate in this conversation and I am happy that you counter me, since I actually do not disagree with you. And, I repeat what you already know, I wish these things to lay into the hands of men. Since women have another important thing to do: to give birth to children, to re-learn to raise and educate them as genuine mothers in union with their male supporters. And to back up these husbands and brothers to give them the space to skill up and do what is needed to be done.
