I do not consider politicians as other than trained reps of lobbies. I can count on half the fingers of one hand (or less) the number or politicians that have ever lived I believe to be worthy of trust. I have vastly more trust in trained attack dogs, because they're more reliable (dogs are the best people I have ever met). I do not think politicians devise or set policy, but instead that they do as they're told by those that do devise and determine policy, most of whom are people whose names have never been spoken aloud or written anywhere I could have read them.

I do not advise worrying. I advise taking actions that make worrying ridiculously unnecessary. Secure your capital such that no betrayal can threaten it. That is what I advise. I also recommend listening to representatives of IRL capital, because what they are all saying is that the Robber Barons intend to control all economic assets by ~2030. They may say such things rather more in veiled ways than that, but Jamie Dimon to Klaus Schwab point to the same intent: we'll own nothing and be happy to have some bugs to eat instead of starving to death or being bombed into pavements.
