Glad I find out this prompt and I will love to share some tips on how I have been able to stay up till this very day, I have actually see or come across lot of complains from newbies most times about not been able to get any doot on their post (doot as in vote) and at times I had to first of all check out the content such person is creating at first and most times I do shake my head. Honestly, nobody said coming onboard, creating content and earning something will be that easy, back in the days it was really difficult, have been on the platform since 2017 and it was way hard than I expected at the beginning, most people post I read talked about one mentors or the other, we had no mentors then, all we got to do was to find out feet on the platform so we started finding what to blog about and the niche to stay in.
Our motto back then was "We are here for they system and not for the money", it was a funny motto back then but anytime we felt like quitting or loosing hope, we say those words and we are back on track, creating content isn't easy but I have use most of the social media platforms facebook, instagram and co for years without getting a dime and I didn't quit because I use them almost everyday, so why will I quit on something that I can always earn from.
People have said a lot of things and I wont want to repeat what they said especially what @quduus1 wrote here contained the basic things you need to do or should I say consider to thrive especially the engagement and taking part in prompt or contests, but the thing I want to focus on is taking up a particular niche, there are lot of things to do on hive in general but most times you need to focus and build up yourself on few things or should I just say few communities, most times I check out what people blog about, the community they blog in and what the community entails. Leofinance for instance welcomes finance related content and they do vote most content they come across as how as your content is meaningful and not just a tweet or short post, the information you are passing across matters, Also
The gaming aspect on hive is one section that can never be saturated yet only few people are taking this route, that is one way to thrive the most after considering what other users talk about. Some people are scared because they thought play to earn games deals with investment and they have to enter big before they can do anything which is a total lie, everyone start with something (little) and along the process they invest more spare fund and to make it easier, they games have communities on hive and this communities support contents relating to the games. One of this gaming communities is Splinterlands which support splinterlands related content and they have 3 weekly challenge which you can always participate in two every week while engaging with the game and earning along side.
Godunchained is also card based game that is been support on hive through the Godunchained community where you can always create content using your gameplays, challenges among others. This are some things people should be checking out also, this are the little little things I engage with and spend most of my time on and they have kept me going for years without me even having the thought of quitting them, we find joys in games and we have more games coming into the hive dapps section like rising stars, psyber X, serfdom and sorcery and lot more. In other words, to really thrive here, you have to know what other are doing and train yourself (incase you think you cant do them) on how to do them, you don't really need to be moving from one community to the other, that won't really work out all the time. I just had to give my own gaming thriving tips since that is one thing that work for me here and I hope it will be useful for someone.
