I think I can finally join the needlework community after deciding to embark on my next skills phase, it been a while since I have been planning to start something creative and there are lot of things that actually caught my attention when it come to needle based work, first it was fashion designing back in primary school because my mom do sew cloths back in the days but stopped later to focus on her other business, since she stopped I couldn't tell her I want to learn sewing and when I had the chance to learn, my dad took me to a computer institute instead to learn computer since we are now in the computer age, along the line I saw crocheting during my senior school days, there is this woman that use to do sweatshirt and all and she had lot of female apprentice with her, no male and it will really be a weird thing joining her as the only male, even though I love it I just conclude it is a female kind of work.
I was in that kind of situation that I just have to imagine me crocheting from afar and seeing how they placed their hand with the hook make it somehow difficult, Last year November after my birthday, i made up my mind to actually start learning, message one of my friend but she forgot to send the the basic tutorial tip until last week when she show me the beanie she made and ask me to buy so she can pay her coach and I use the opportunity to tell her I have interest in learning too, so she told me the tools I will need and send me an instagram plug link to get my kits from. Buying stuff online from a vendor isn't my thing because there are lot of scammers out there, with one mind I message the plug and got my first kits which was delivered the next day after making payment
Couldn't figure out what came with the kit until I search online and I was able to identify the soft grip crochet hooks (9 of different mm size), aluminum crochet hook (12 of different mm size), the locking stitch markers, split ring markers, 2 stitch holders, 2 row counter, 4 needles point protectors, 1 tape measure, 1 scissors, 1 gauge measure rule, cable switch knitting needles and plastic yarn needles. yet to figure out the work of most of this tools, i came across 
I made this long chain after lot of trial and error, it look rough but she encourage me that as a beginner, I'm really doing well, told me to watch some few youtube tutorial which I did, was also practicing what I saw there, I was able to figure how how to place my hand in my own way, made my first knot before starting the chain process, leant some few confusing words (on youtube), like stitches, chain, single crochet, double crochet and all.
With my guidances by my side, I was able to progress from this to that within 48hours, before I could reach that point, I had to loose the whole yarn countless times, at some point my hard was shaking and also my leg was somehow paining me for sitting too long, after lot of encouragement and guide, I was able to reach this point below
My Current Challenge
There are lot of challenge I'm currently facing even after figuring how to knot the yarn from the start, placing the yarn on my left fingers for easy yarn over seem hard at times, at times it felt too loose and sometime too tight, still figuring how to balance it. Also counting and maintaining the stitches seems hard for me, at some point I miscalculate where to put the hook and i was told if such happen, there are chances what I'm trying to make will bend instead and not give me the perfect straight work. Still have a lot of learn in this new journey of mine, it is really a gradual process with lot of patience.
