HISTORY
Andre Romelle Young was born on February 18, 1965 in Compton, where he was brought up mainly by his mother, because his father disappeared from their lives before Andre learned to speak. His childhood was difficult because of the surrounding reality. Compton was filled with drug addicts, dealers, whores, gangsters and racist white policemen.
From childhood, he was fascinated by music, which was very much in his home. The mother equipped the flat in a turntable, working two full-time jobs, and little Andre spent most of her time at home watching and listening to vinyl records. He had a good ear, because at social events in their home he always chose the next album and always hit the nail on the head! He always knew what is on top and what will be liked by guests.
The interest in music continued to grow, until Andre finally got his first music job as a DJ in one of the clubs in Los Angeles. He also had a short episode of dance, specifically with Pop 'Lock, but he was not the best at it and quickly gave up, he still does not like to remind himself. He later became a member of the World Class Wreckin 'Cru with whom he recorded various songs but he did not feel well with this work. All the time he dreamed of being the voice of young kids from Compton, that young people would listen to him and his music was cool. In the end, he met Eazy-E, with whom he came up with the idea of opening his own recording studio and then starting his own hip-hop group.
At the beginning, the group included: Dre, Eazy-E, Ice Cube, DJ Yella, Arabian Prince and MC Ren. Dr. Dre in this line-up recorded two albums but after the leak of information about the unjust distribution of money went away as it did earlier Ice Cube. Dre quarreled with Eazy-E and their manager Jerry Heller at the time, and intended to create everything from the beginning, where he would have more to say. He came to Suge Knight, who helped him settle legal issues of departing from N.W.A.
Together with Suge Knight, Death Row, which releases his solo debut The Chronic in 1992. The album turns out to be a big hit and is very appreciated by the rap community. Production of Dr.Dre takes a great talent straight from the street! He brings Snoop Dogg to the studio (who has never written a verse before) and he does freestyle on the beat of Dr. Dre. This collaboration has resulted in the next Rap Giant with debut album Doggystyle, which turned out to be even bigger hit than The Chronic! In 1995, Death Row joined 2Pac, which became the bone of contention between Dre and Suge Knight. Suge increased the arrogance and aggression of the 2Pac, which had a negative effect on many of the bad things Tupac did, while Dre wanted to hide him in stuido and fully exploit his potential.
1996 he decided to leave Death Row, renouncing his shares in all production. He decided to start his own Aftermath Entertainment label. The next great talents fished by Dr.Dre are associated with this label. The biggest success is probably the promotion of Eminem, which was a big breakthrough on the rap market.
In his later activities, Aftermath launched a number of different artists, including The Game, 50 Cent, Kendrick Lamar, which he produced and helped in the promotion of debut CDs!
Dr. Dre was also the first billionaire rapper after selling his brand Beats headphones for Apple for 3.2 billion dollars!
