Facing his first boss, the Bullguard, the Destined One survived heavy cleaves and unlocked the Immobilize spell, binding the beast to secure victory. Moving past swamp frogs and wolf troops, I located a quiet meditation point, resting to restore health and focus for the road ahead.
I ran into my very first boss fight against a giant monster named Bullguard. Even though he had a massive body, he was surprisingly quick on his feet, and the heavy axe he swung around looked like it could take me out in a couple of hits.
I tried to jump right in and land some hits, but he was way tougher and smarter than I expected. He caught me off guard with his long reach, hitting me hard and taking away a big chunk of my health bar before I could even get out of the way.
Realizing I couldn't just throw punches blindly, I started timing my dodges and waited for the right moment to strike back. I charged up a heavy attack with my staff and hit him right on target, which actually knocked the huge guy flat onto the ground.
I kept up the pressure and managed to bring his health down by half, but he suddenly grabbed my character and pinned him to the dirt. He raised his weapon for a crushing final blow, and for a second, it really looked like it was game over for me.
Right at that moment, a magic spell unlocked with a simple hand gesture, granting me the powerful Immobilize ability. It froze the Bullguard right in his tracks like a statue, letting me beat him up with my staff while he stood there completely helpless.
Now that I had this amazing freeze ability and knew how he liked to attack, I took a step back to breathe and drank a potion from my gourd to bring my health back up to full.
With full health and my new spell ready to go, I went right back at the Bullguard and finished him off with one last heavy combo. As soon as his health hit zero, his giant body simply dissolved into thin air and vanished from the arena.
I kept heading down the path and ran into a few more wolf guards along the way. Now that I was used to the movement and combat, taking these normal enemies down was way easier than before.
While walking through a murky swamp area, some strange new monsters jumped out to fight me. Instead of regular wolves, these were giant, walking frogs carrying weapons, so I had to dodge their attacks and clear them out along with the remaining wolves.
Further along the trail, I spotted a peaceful meditation spot sitting off to the side. It looked like a safe resting area where my character could finally take a break from all the non-stop fighting.
I sat down at the meditation point, and a short cinematic played showing my character taking a quiet rest while giving me a gorgeous view of the surrounding area.
Once it was done, my character stood up with his health and energy completely refilled, totally ready for the next part of the journey.
