After detonating C4 to blow up helicopters, I followed Farah past Russian reinforcements, and had to hid beneath trucks while she set explosives.
We crawled through a pile of dead bodies, played dead to avoid a patrol, cleared remaining guards, and escaped into the underground tunnels to meet Hadir.
Reaching Farah's position, she confirmed the eastern sector was clear and announced it was time to execute the plan. I followed her over to a high window overlooking the airbase.
On her signal, I pressed the detonator to trigger the planted C4 charges, creating a massive explosion that ripped through the parked helicopters and instantly drew every guard's attention.
With the distraction in full effect, I dropped down and followed Farah as we sprinted away from the perimeter.
Russian reinforcements immediately flooded the base in heavy vehicles, accompanied by an attack helicopter circling overhead.
Farah signaled for us to drop low and crawl underneath a line of parked military trucks to avoid being spotted by the incoming troops, and I noticed her setting an explosive to the bottom of that truck as well.
Once the charges were primed, we crept out from beneath the vehicles and pushed forward, only to find another squad of soldiers blocking the path ahead. Farah tossed an explosive bag toward them to stall their advance.
Moments later, the charges she had rigged to the truck detonated, tearing through the convoy and giving us the cover needed to break past the guards.
We kept running until we reached a gruesome field littered with the bodies of civilian victims. Farah grimly noted that this was another example of Barkov's war crimes.
A patrol of Barkov's soldiers suddenly approached to inspect the pile, forcing us to drop prone among the dead bodies and play dead as the boots clicked past just inches away.
Once the main patrol moved out of sight, Farah signaled to clear out the lingering stragglers. I raised my weapon and shot two of the guards, while Farah silently took down a third.
With more airbase reinforcements closing in, Farah noted that our distraction strategy was working as intended. Observing a squad of Russian soldiers rushing toward Tariq's apartment building, she remarked coldly that Tariq was likely dead already.
Prioritizing our escape, we sprinted toward the hidden tunnel entrance. Finding the hatch clear of hostiles, Farah instructed me to head underground so we could navigate through the dark passages and regroup with Hadir.
