The Holy Spirit is the Teacher who teaches us the Bible. We cannot understand what the Bible is saying all by ourselves. We need the help of the Holy Spirit before we can understand what is written in the Bible. God gave us the Holy scriptures. Holy men of God wrote them in the olden days. These men were inspired by the Holy Spirit to write the scriptures. Since the scriptures were inspired by the Holy Spirit, it is this Holy Spirit who is the Author of the Bible.
We know that the Bible contains the Word of God. This Word of God is our compass through life. There are many things that we would meet as we are making our journey through life which are not going to be clear to us if we do not rely on the Holy Spirit. So, anyone who wants to understand how he or she should navigate his way through life must understand that it is by listening to and studying the Bible that he or she can do that.
Reading the Bible should not be optional to those who are the believers in Jesus Christ. The word of God is our life and our light. We need to understand what the Bible is says so that we can live by it. We must use the light of God's Word to guide ourselves while passing through this world.
