Steemians of the world - coming from an original Metal / Rock background to move into Techno / Trance / House or the entire Electronic Dance Music type as DJ I never been a fan of one particular music style - which was Rap. I was a huge fan of cross over trials to connect Metal and Techno Sounds. There have been great initiatives that did not succeed on the long-term. Rap was one of the styles I never had the feeling for - even I loved some of the music videos I saw on MTV - actually I muted the volume on this and listened to Techno Tunes instead while watching the Rap Videos - sick, isn't it?
But - as a music lover and an open personality the marvellous @flipstar opened up my eyes again! He just created a new challenge called Rap Thursday and I am happy to contribute a first step into this - a little one only. I do think we all need to be open for other movements - and back in the days when Rap was not called Rap I indeed had some titles I loved which probably can be counted as Rap.
Within the entire Eurotrash scene across the 1990ies in Europe a lot productions got the techno beat with Rap Vocal Parts - so I start with this today instead of bringing a total surprising style on my wall lol! A lot projects have been created 20 years ago mainly in Germany and The Netherlands - often by Techno producers using ex US soldiers. Here you go with some of them - not Rap in its real definition but Dance incl. Rap Vocals.
The projects are:
Captain Hollywood Project
Culture Beat
Captain Jack
Mr. President
