Hey guys,
I want to recommend a great book on bitcoin, *Mastering Bitcoin*, by Andreas Antonopoulis.
If you are curious about what bitcoin really is instead of vague references to miners and wallets and blockchain, then this book is for you. It does get into a bit of programming at times so if you know a bit about it, that will be helpful. I managed though the examples without too much headache.
He takes a very systematic approach to each part of the bitcoin space and explains it in a way that most people will understand. He first gives a bit of history, and then some everyday examples of how bitcoin works. He then uses these simple examples to explain in depth how the system works piece by piece. He gets you through transactions and how they work, the crypto part of cryptocurrency and why its needed, how addresses are put together by private and public keys, what wallets do, how the blockchain functions, how the network works, security, scripting, and how applications work in the bitcoin space.
There is a lot packed into those 300 pages. I read it in one hour increments. Then absorbed the info and went back in. When I tried to read for longer, I found my comprehension dropping and my brain simply stopped absorbing any information.
It is a definite must read for anyone thinking about seriously investing in bitcoin. Five stars for this book.
Cheers, and keep on Steeming!
