I try to avoid plastic. I boil water for tea in an enamel kettle or a stainless steel pot. I keep water in glass containers (store-bought water often comes with plastic-lined caps). I buy milk in glass bottles, though the caps contain plastic (I remember milk in the USSR came in glass bottles with foil lids—it’s a shame they don’t do that anymore).
RE: How to avoid microplastics when boiling water. Use a stainless steel kettle and important, remove the plastic filter.
