The world was hit yesterday with the tragic news of the death of legendary musician dubbed the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. She was aged 76yrs old. At the early hours of yesterday, she lost the battle to cancer after several days in hospice care.
There has been a lot of tributes to her coming from popular colleagues of hers including smokey Robinson, ms holiday, jay-z and Beyonce etc...
She will be remembered for her beautiful singing voice and her large contribution to the music industry
During the span of her long career, she won 18 Grammy awards with hit songs NATURAL WOMAN, I SAY A LITTLE PRAYER etc..
Aretha was an inspiration to an entire generation and will have a place in our heart.
Funeral arrangements will be announced in the coming days.
