Five ways to win my heart
Have a heart that passionately and unashamedly loves God. God has my heart, if you have Him, having my heart is not such a difficult thing. Let's talk about God, I'll always be interested in talking about God.
Love books. Read books. Talk books. Movies are included here. Books and movies that talk about real life experiences. These outlets provide am amazing opportunity to learn and have fun while at it. Give me books, recommend good reads, you'll always have a soft spot in my heart.
Be kind to people. Strangers and family alike. Be courteous to the sales girl, the Keke driver. Just be a kind, we need a lot of kindness in the world. Decide to be the difference. Every time I go out with a person, I consciously watch the way you talk and relate with everyone.
I once went out with a friend, we stopped by a roadside trader who was selling fries(yam, plantain, potatoes and fish). He was pretty hungry and just needed to eat something, the woman was still trying to peel the yam, she had no help. The guy stopped down and helped her .
I think that was beautiful, he didn't have to do that, he would have just walked past and looked for somewhere else to get something and eat. So, yes, little acts of kindness gets me every time. And this wasn't something he just did to impress me, he went out of his way to help anyone that happened to need his help then.
I'm not a big fan of womanly things - read this as pedicure, manicure, make up and the rest. So, one time, this same friend commented about my nails being very fine but needing more attention, so he said he wanted to step out and get something. He came back with a manicure and pedicure set and went ahead to do the job.
A lady on earth who doesn't like someone who is caring and thoughtful? Haven't met one yet. So, yes, a heart that looks for my weaknesses and instead of criticizing and berating me for them, shows me practical ways to be better will get my heart always. Have a heart that loves people genuinely and is constantly seeking to add value to them. That's a heart made of gold.
4 Words. Hehe. I love words. Words of affirmation. Not bogus meaningless words lifted out from some crappy magazine. Words that speak your heart. You don't have to lie, I can always tell, because I'm easily captivated by words, I learnt early how to detect the words people mean and the ones they say because they feel I'll kill to hear. I'm not exactly a conversation person.
No, I'm not saying it with pride, is something I'm working on, but some people don't know me as a quiet person. They can argue vehemently that I'm the most talkative person they know, this is so because they y have been able to activate the part of me that loves words and love saying them . Say the words from your heart, it registers in my heart and you have a beautiful girl's heart.
5 Dependability, trust and self love. Anyone with an amazing self esteem is the cutest person to look at. I'm not the clingy, I-can't-live-without-you type of person but I like to have a friend I can call when I'm in some deep shit and have 80% confidence they'll come through for me. The remaining 20% is because no one has the portfolio of media aide to the SA to the Holy Spirit.
As much as I love to have dependable friends, I try to give room for humanity to thrive. Las Las we are humans but I should be able to have a certain level of trust in you. I should be able to easily get to you. I understand some persons can have a pretty planned life, but I want to once in a while make you turn over protocols for me, makes me feel like a baby girl.
