Joan Sebastián Montoya (El Donchi) es el artista encargado de esta maravillosa obra, que realizo en el 2017, en un festival de grafitis Pictopia 2017. No estoy segura si lo titula CHANGO, pero sin duda es muy alusivo en la obra, lo cierto que esta clase de manifestaciones religiosas o de creencia popular no es muy frecuente en esta parte del país andino, donde reina es las Mariologías y una larga lista de figuras católicas, me gusta encontrarme este tipo de obras porque me hacen entender mejor en que sociedad viva, y lo que puedo esperar de ella, así que esta adoración a Chango (Rey de los truenos, los rayos, la justicia, la danza y el fuego, su origen es africano) me gusta, y me hace entender la pluridad de esta sociedad, que aún lleva consigo muy arraigadas las creencias que para muchos son profanas y peligrosas, resalto el trabajo del artista, llena de colores, alabanzas, crudeza, carácter, misticismo y sobre todo es imponente, te lleva a creer más allá de los santos y las iglesias, así arropando a otras sociedades un poco menos dogmáticas. Las frutas, el puma, las coronas representan abundancia, fuerza, liderazgo y poder, creo que es una obra magnífica, y le da a sus adeptos mucha esperanza en que Chango aún vive.
