Do you remember, just 5 days ago I had made a nice grow bag from used plastic bag in my home garden and planted radish seeds in it. Yesterday morning, just 3 days after planting the seeds, I saw many sprouts of radish seeds in the grow bag trying to come out of the soil.
It is such a joy every time to see life starting from these tiny dry seeds!
Even 3 days before sowing the radish seeds, that is, if we look from today, there is no trace of the carrot seeds sown 8-9 days ago and it is possible that they remain below the soil surface for the next week as carrot seeds take about 3 weeks to germinate.
But on the other hand, radish seeds need only a few days to come out of the soil and grow and this is the reason why radish seeds sown three days after carrots have germinated much before those carrots seed.
Well, till now you have seen the pictures till yesterday where about 1 seed from each pair had come out of the soil but that was not enough and I was waiting for 100% germination, meaning both the seeds planted in each hole should germinate but as they say, good things take time!
And, good germination took time but only for one more day and this morning when I went outside to check on the plants, I noticed that there were almost no more singles in that grow bag. 馃槏
In these group photos, you can see that almost all the seeds planted in this grow bag have come out of the soil and from here I would say the real journey of the radish begins because before this they were just seeds but now life has started in all of them.
As far as I know, now I don't need to add any fertilizer etc. to it, I will just water it, and that too only when the upper layer of the soil starts drying up because now the winter is going to increase further, so over watering can also kill these plants.
Now from here, Hopefully, in the next 2 months' journey, radishes will be formed in the roots of these plants under the soil and then after seeing a suitable muhurat, we will organize their harvesting fest too. :P
