Namaste!

First of all, thanks to ewkaw@ewkaw for this amazingly adventurous #FungiFriday Initiative. ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ™

This wasn't part of the plan. Even I was jogging straight down a path with headphones in my ears, lost in a podcast, so obviously it's hard to spot a mushroom in the grass while jogging.

But this couple, holding each other's hands, met me right on my way, as if this time they were looking for me. Both of them were barely 6 inches away from my feet on the pathway and the grass around them was also flowing down due to which these milky white mushrooms were getting highlighted differently on the green grass bed.

Well, since then I have learned that identifying whether mushrooms are edible is a different skill that requires knowledge as well as a lot of confidence because if you get it wrong, your food can even kill you. No matter how good a mushroom seems to me personally, I don't pluck it because I obviously won't eat that and once I pluck it, it won't be edible for anyone else either.

These may be different varieties of mushrooms because there is some minor variation in their shape, but the cap pattern of all of them is quite similar. The dark brown colour from the centre is becoming lighter towards the outside and becoming white and I could not take pictures of their gills but they were quite similar. It is also possible that their slightly different shape may be due to their growing conditions or age.

alt
Well, anyway, they were very different and cute in appearance and because this time they themselves came in front of me, I thought they wanted me to take their pictures. haha!

Now how could I refuse such an open invitation? So here are some lovely pictures of these mushrooms I took with my phone. ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ„๐Ÿ˜Š
