The purpose of this series of guides is to introduce you to the features and mechanics of modules and crafting in Golem Overlord. This is the third post of the series and will focus on Forge Sigils.
Need to Know: Modules and the Pyrite Forge
If you are not familiar with modules and the Pyrite Forge, you should read the first two posts in this series Golem Overlord Module Guide: Module Basics, and Golem Overlord Module Guide: The Pyrite Forge. These posts explain the basic features of modules and the Pyrite Forge, you may find it difficult to follow this post without knowing the basics of modules and the Pyrite Forge.
Forge Sigils were first released in Yixn's Trinkets Crates on October 6, 2023. The crates had seven different Forge Sigils available on release, and more were added as part of the first Golem Overlord airdrop on October 13, 2023. All Forge Sigils are now possible to get in Yixn's Trinkets crates.
What are Forge Sigils?
A sigil is a type of symbol used in magic (thanks Wikipedia!).
In Golem Overlord, a Forge Sigil currently has two purposes.
Forge Sigils are used (burned) in the Pyrite Forge for crafting Modules.
Forge Sigils can be converted into Pyrite by burning them.
Remember that all Forge Sigils are for one-time use only and are burned upon use.
What is Pyrite?
Pyrite is an in-game currency and is a required component in various features of the Pyrite Forge, which currently includes crafting and adding quality to modules.
Crafting = burn forge sigil and pyrite to modify module stats.
Quality = burn pyrite to add quality to a module.
Reroll = burn 2 identified modules and pyrite to receive one new identified module.
Upgrade = burn 5 identified modules and pyrite to receive one unidentified module of one higher rarity.
How to Get and Use Pyrite
Currently, the only way to get Pyrite is by burning Forge Sigils.
Pyrite is used in the Pyrite Forge within Golem Overlord for crafting and adding quality to modules. There will be more posts in the future to explain the specific features of crafting and adding quality.
Types of Forge Sigils
There are currently ten different Forge Sigils that can drop from Yixn's Trinkets Crates.
Forge Sigils are currently available in six rarity types.
Scarce Rarity Forge Sigil (Green)
Precious Rarity Forge Sigil (Blue)
Exceptional Rarity Forge Sigil (Purple)
Invaluable Rarity Forge Sigil (Yellow)
Enigma Rarity Forge Sigil (Orange)
Artifact Rarity Forge Sigil (Red)
Arcane Dice
Arcane Dice can drop in invaluable, enigma, and artifact rarities. You can see this by the three half-circles right above the Arcane Dice writing on the NFT.
The description in the middle "Rerolls [2/3/4] stat values on a module" means:
Invaluable Rarity Arcane Dice (Yellow) = rerolls 2 stat values on a module.
Enigma Rarity Arcane Dice (Orange) = rerolls 3 stat values on a module.
Artifact Rarity Arcane Dice (Red) = rerolls 4 stat values on a module.
Nullification Crystal can drop in exceptional, invaluable, and enigma rarities. You can see this by the three half-circles right above the Nullification Crystal writing on the NFT.
The description in the middle "Removes [a random/ not a strongest magnitude/ a weakest magnitude] modifier on a module" means:
Exceptional Rarity Nullification Crystal (Purple) = removes a random modifier on a module.
Invaluable Nullification Crystal (Yellow) = removes a modifier on a module that is not the strongest.
Enigma Rarity Nullification Crystal (Orange) = removes a weakest magnitude modifier on a module.
Yixn's Hair
Yixn's Hair can only drop in artifact rarity.
The description in the middle "Duplicates a Module without the 'duplicated' tag" means that you use it to duplicate a module that has never been duplicated. Once a module is duplicated, both the original module and the newly created duplicate module have the "duplicated" tag added.
Transmutative Orb
The Transmutative Orb can drop in precious, exceptional, invaluable, and enigma rarities. You can see this by the three half-circles right above the Transmutative Orb writing on the NFT.
The description in the middle "Removes [a random/ a random/ not a strongest/ not a strongest] and adds [a medium or lower/ a random/ a medium or lower/ a random] modifier on a module" means:
Precious Rarity Transmutative Orb (Blue) = removes a random modifier on a module and adds a medium or lower modifier on a module.
Exceptional Rarity Transmutative Orb (Purple) = removes a random modifier on a module and adds a random modifier on a module.
Invaluable Rarity Transmutative Orb (Yellow) = removes not a strongest modifier on a module and adds a medium or lower modifier on a module.
Enigma Rarity Transmutative Orb (Orange) = removes not a strongest modifier on a module and adds a random modifier on a module.
Stasis Conflux can drop in invaluable, enigma, and artifact rarities.
The description in the middle "Anchors a [random/medium/big] stat on a fully-statted item. The anchored stat is permanent" means:
Invaluable Rarity Stasis Conflux (Yellow) = anchors a random stat on a fully-statted item. The anchored stat is permanent and cannot be removed or modified.
Enigma Rarity Stasis Conflux (Orange) = anchors a medium stat on a fully-statted item. The anchored stat is permanent and cannot be removed or modified.
Artifact Rarity Stasis Conflux (Red) = anchors a big stat on a fully-statted item. The anchored stat is permanent and cannot be removed or modified.
Each magnitude offers unique odds and potential stats to acquire.
Certain stats are exclusive to Medium or Big magnitudes, while others span across all levels. For identical stats, a Big magnitude will invariably surpass a Small one in strength. However, each magnitude has a specific range of values it can attain.
Fragment of Entropy
The Fragment of Entropy can drop in precious, exceptional, invaluable, enigma, and artifact rarities.
The description "Remove all stats on a module and then add [1/1/2/3/4]-[2/3/3/4/5] stats again" means:
Precious Rarity Fragment of Entropy (Blue) = removes all stats on a module and adds:
1-2 stats again
100% chance of small stat
00% chance of medium stat
00% chance of big stat
Exceptional Rarity Fragment of Entropy (Purple) = removes all stats on a module and adds:
1-3 stats again
75% chance of small stat
25% chance of medium stat
00% chance of big stat
Invaluable Rarity Fragment of Entropy (Yellow) = removes all stats on a module and adds:
2-3 stats again
50% chance of small stat
35% chance of medium stat
15% chance of big stat
Enigma Rarity Fragment of Entropy (Orange) = removes all stats on a module and adds:
3-4 stats again
25% chance of small stat
40% chance of medium stat
35% chance of big stat
Artifact Rarity Fragment of Entropy (Red) = removes all stats on a module and adds:
4-5 stats again
00% chance of small stat
35% chance of medium stat
65% chance of big stat
Apex Mark
The Apex Mark is likely the second-best Forge Sigil currently available aside from Yixn's hair. It is used to upgrade the lowest possible magnitude stat on a module.
The Apex Mark can drop in precious, exceptional, invaluable, enigma, and Artifact rarities. You can see this by the half-circles above the Apex Mark writing on the NFT.
The description in the middle "Enhances the lowest maximum magnitude to a [medium/ medium/ medium/ big/ big] magnitude on [a precious/ an exceptional/ any/ an Invaluable/ any] module" means:
Precious Rarity Apex Mark (Blue) = enhances the lowest maximum magnitude (stat) to a medium - magnitude on a Precious module.
Exceptional Rarity Apex Mark (Purple) = enhances the lowest maximum magnitude (stat) to a medium magnitude on an Exceptional module.
Invaluable Rarity Apex Mark (Yellow) = enhances the lowest maximum magnitude (stat) to a medium magnitude on any module.
Enigma Rarity Apex Mark (Orange) = enhances the lowest maximum magnitude (stat) to a big magnitude on an Invaluable module.
Artifact Rarity Apex Mark (Red) = enhances the lowest maximum magnitude (stat) to a big magnitude on any module.
