Steem is a currency that is going to generate huge amounts of attention. I have been following the bitcoin scenes and investing in Bitcoin and some other top names. I know the barrier to entry is the simple fact it costs money, it isn't easy to explain in a 5 minutes walkthrough, and everyone thinks it will crash. I will address how all the issues can be broken down with the use of steem.
Steem can be an easy way for people to generate content and small amounts of money and slowly gain faith in the system. You don't have to invest large amounts of money to see rewards.
Steem doesn't need an explanation which can't be said for any other cryptocurrency. The closest you can be is having someone think it is a scam or fake and having to prove them wrong. Otherwise just like Facebook you sign up and go for it.
I think Steem has done a great job of addressing this with steem power. Steem power will allow investors to make returns on their investments and avoid having their currency diluted with the hyperinflation that equates to around halving the value of steem each year. Steem power will also keep big investors or at least a portion of the market fixed which will give confident to currency traders.
I have seen tons of cryptocurrencies make small changes to bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies but never like this. I really do believe investing now will be investing in bitcoin when it was $.02 each.
