Starbucks took a big step towards the adoption of Bitcoin. The world-famous coffee chain bought shares from the Bakkt stock exchange, which is scheduled to open recently. Coinspeaker reported that this year, Starbucks'e Bitcoin payments are coming.
Bitcoin Payments
It is not known how much Starbucks got from the Bakkt stock exchange. However, according to the sources that leak the news, ıc Starbucks ’shares are disproportionately high ılar because Starbucks has invested cash for the stock market. It is developing an application and card to allow customers to pay with digital money.
In August 2018, Starbucks had surprisingly announced that it would be a partner with the Bakkt platform. As a result of this partnership, it was announced that Starbucks would accept payments with Bitcoin, which would be automatically converted into a nominal amount (dollars) by the Bakkt platform instead of accepting payments directly with Bitcoin.
Bakkt's Delay
Bakkt's opening delay seems to have affected Starbucks partnership. Bakkt is currently awaiting approval from CTFC. However, since the government was on holiday in the United States, the approval date announced as 24 January was postponed as a compulsion.
Bakkt is working with Microsoft outside Starbucks. Microsoft Bakkt is looking to develop a cloud platform and offer users the opportunity to use digital assets across the globe.
