The Owerea National Park, also known as Overea-Aru Biosphere Reserve, is 76 kilometers from Srinagar. This park is home to many endangered species such as musk deer, hangul, brown bear, leopard and snowy poultry. Located at an elevation of 5425 meters above 3000 meters, this park is a popular tourist destination. There are 13 species of mammals living in this park, and 80 species of birds have been recorded so far.

Various species of birds are also found here. A massive variety of wildlife attracts tourists from around the world. Dense coniferous forests which are made of chestnut, pine, pine, surrounded the area.

Various trees such as Viburnum SPP, Indigo Heitaranta and Sorbaria Tomatosa are also found in this area. Rumex Patienta, Nemone SPP and Primula SPP are some of the different species that are found in this area. The best time to visit the upper area of ​​the park is between May and August. From March to May, it is suited to tour the lower areas of the park.
