Hello everyone, dear friends of Hive, welcome to my blog.
Sometimes we find ourselves in the wrong place at the wrong time, and catastrophes happen. Well, something similar happened this time.
Last Sunday I went to the Costazul Shopping Centre just to buy some bread, and I saw that there were many more people than usual, and many of them were dressed in a bizarre and eccentric way, so I decided to be curious and find out what they were doing.
When I got to the fair, I found a huge event where the entire geek community on the island was participating in cosplay, dancing, and other geeky things that I know nothing about.
Personally, I dislike these events where there are too many people, and I was about to leave, but I heard someone calling me from a distance and saw a couple of friends gathered in the middle of the KPOP festing playing Yugioh.
Once I was with my friends, I hung out with them for a while. The atmosphere was so enjoyable that we even called those who lived closer to come and hang out with us. We ordered a roast chicken to share among everyone and had a fantastic time.
The event itself consisted of a contest for the best cosplay and a contest for the best K-pop dance, and while this was going on, there were surprise prizes for the participants and many stands with geeky merchandise taking advantage of the occasion to promote their products. There were posters, rings, comics, clothing, toys, collectibles, and many other cool things. I took the opportunity to take some photos.
One of my friends and university classmates went in a cosplay from the film "El Dorado," perfectly portraying what an indigenous princess would look like, and since I was the only one without a job, I was her photographer along with other participants.
As I said at the beginning, sometimes we are in the wrong place at the wrong time, but this time, I was able to be exactly where I wanted to be.
These events make it clear to me that the geek community on Margarita Island is much larger than I thought. Not everyone is as weird as I thought; in fact, some are quite fun. I hope they do it again and give me plenty of notice so I can make my Captain Hook costume.
Thank you all very much for reading and sharing. See you next time.
