Hello, dear Hudsuckers. Today, I'll be taking on the challenge of Google Firebase, in an attempt to place real-time chat on the website I've been building, as a practice website for @moneymatchgaming(we're paying developers construct the actual website).
I haven't uploaded my current website to Firebase, but hopefully today we change all of that.
Goals are: upload to Firebase, Finish ranked section, add hover borders, add hover info, and add a Firebase chat room.
That's a lot in one day, and I have an MMG event at 7pm ET, which I'll need to get ready for around 6pm ET. There's no time to waste, let's get coding!
There's going to be a lot of fumbling around tonight, but that's what being a Hudsucker is all about!
If this is your first time catching one of these Hudsucker blogs, I should mention that I don't often speak during these sessions, however, I will periodically check the chat and respond to viewers. The bulk of the stream is spent listening to tutorials, music, gary vee, and staring at a screen trying to figure out code.
I'm using the Hero's of The Storm website as a guide to layout my website...just because I like there's. I want to be able to place divs and container in the appropriate places to make my site have as similar as possible to the layout of this Hero's of The Storm website.
I'll be using a mix of w3Schools CSS library, internet articles, youtube tutorials, discord servers, and...my brain to figure out the layout of the site today. It'll be a challenge, but every step is rewarding. Here's to building my own future!
Thanks for tuning in
