I see no reason why family and friends should constantly pressure me into the illusion of falling in love and being in a relationship. Though love may seem like a good thing and relationships can be fun if you're with the right person but there's also the wrong person.
Though I understand that I'm not getting any younger and several peeps my age and younger are getting into relationships and getting married already, hence the constant question from family. In fact, I'm constantly given examples such as 'even teenagers are getting into relationships so what are you waiting for?'.
Unfortunately, they do not seem to understand that on thorough observation of my environment I realised that If I simply follow their advice and take the leap, I may be putting myself into the danger of being manipulated and eventual heartbreak considering the nature of the ladies I've come across in the past few years.

Consider the following examples!
One sided relationships
I do not intend to generalise but simply speak based on my environment and experience.
A majority of relationships these days are one sided. A higher percentage of ladies I've come across believe relationships should be all about them while the man is simply a means to an end.
Hence they're always the one to receive while having a very weird mentality of not doing anything for him until he 'makes them happy' (I wonder what that means), yet they wouldn't attempt to make him happy since they're the only ones deserving happiness while the man is designed to give it out and not receive it. Isn't that being selfish?
A case of disrespect and quarrel
Then there's the case of disrespect in relationships. Respect should be mutual but if one party respects one more than the other, or if one lacks the ability to respect his or her spouse altogether then we have a serious problem.
I respect myself a lot and respect those around me regardless of how young hence I wouldn't run my mouth regardless of reason. Thus I sincerely see no reason why anyone should do the same to me.
Unfortunately (once again), I've seen cases where spouses lack the ability to communicate with each other but would turn anything and everything to a quarrel while using insulting words without control.

In fact, I have several female friends who lack the ability to have something as simple as communication with the littlest things but would rather resort to insult and quarrel over the littlest things. I consider this a major turn-off as I appreciate communication.
If you cannot express yourself in the simplest way for a second or third party to understand how you feel without the use of violence and insults so that whoever is listening can understand and perhaps apologise to you, then maybe such a person requires a psychologist or perhaps a psychiatrist.
I mostly shake my head in such situations and tell myself 'No'... I can't have such person as a partner as my health and peace of mind is more important than anything else.
A Cheating partner
I'd rather not go into the case of a cheating partner. I don't think I can handle such discussion. A single thought of such breaks my heart.
Shinobi wife
'Woman stabs husband to death while he sleeps'. This can also be written as ''man wakes up to a knife in his stomach. Hashtag wife.'
You may find this example extreme but this is an example I used when a lady once asked why I'm not in a relationship and when I intend to get married. She found the example weird and said I was being paranoid.
Unfortunately, the above example is the order of the day as seen in my society and I'd rather stay single than be a victim of circumstance.
You may be wondering why this would happen in a peaceful home or why he didn't take note of what his partner is capable of before getting married. The answer is simple- you can't know everything about your partner, people change.
Conclusion
A higher percentage of wrong partners exist depending on the environment you find yourself, being careful isn't enough, thus the issue of scepticism. I'd rather remain single as I wouldn't want to fall into the wrong hands!
I'm open to suggestions. Perhaps I should stop considering the negative and focus on the goodies but at the same time I'm simply being realistic.

It's all confusing really, truly!
