world ozone day is basically based on protection of ozone layer which is depleting by the substances.
On December 19,1994 UN General assembly proclaimed 16 September as a world ozone day.
As we all know because of global warming water cycle has has been disturbed. Earth getting hot year by year so it's a very good initiative by the UN General assembly.
