Silver is only 17 times more abundant in the Earth's crust than gold, yet currently gold is priced over 75 times the silver price! So by all geological standards silver should be 72 bucks/oz right now!
In 1792, the gold/silver price ratio was fixed by law in the United States at 15:1, which meant that one troy ounce of gold was worth 15 troy ounces of silver; a ratio of 15.5:1 was enacted in France in 1803.
Fun experiment - search "Gold and Silver" photos on the internet and you will see in the MAJORITY of persons photos just about that perfect 17/1 ratio! You think this is a sub-conscious coincidence???
