First of I would once again want to thank @mistakili for giving me the heads up and letting me know the existence of this huge blessing called hive blog. For a fact and no iota of doubt information is power. It honestly feels so surreal with my adventures on hive blog so far and I must confess I’m enjoying every tiny bits of it.
It is a good , marvelous and awesome feeling when one is accepted and made to feel comfortable in an environment one is visiting for the first time . This so far has been my case so far in this platform as a newbie and noob on here . To some extent I’ve been marinated with so much encouragements that spurs me on to do better and ultimately the very best on here.
My stint on here is barely a month, so you needed to see how my face and mood lit up when @nonsowrites informed me of a meet up he will be hosting alongside other hivers on the 29th of January 2022. To me that was just supercool . Fortunately I could make it and I sure pinned that to my memo as soon as I got the invite .
Finally the d-day came yesterday and my expectations were about to be fulfilled. It actually felt nice seeing the different faces behind the different handles/accounts that effortlessly disseminate and dish out intriguing and fascinating contents on here. As an average curious learner I could not wait to hear their different stories on how they came across hive and how the journey and experience has been so far
Experience they say is the best teacher . Those in attendance at the meet up shared their different experiences so far on the platform as I expected. From this I actually learnt one or two key things. What I learnt and I eventually put at the back of my mind was the power and importance engagements on this platform exudes. I was made to realize that with engagements you can get to meet people, interact, get information one would not ordinarily have access to and ultimately all these will make one to have a recognizable presence on here.
Furthermore, when one does not put one’s full attention on the earning aspect of this platform it will be easier to churn out good contents and ultimately yield in steady progress of one’s growth and development on here is another advice i got during the meet up.According to @nonsowrites we should endeavor to think of what we can do for ourselves to increase our relevance on this platform . Thinking of certain ideas , programs and projects that will benefit the hive blog platform is of great importance.
Consistency in anything we do matters a lot , and this is not an exception on hive blog. As an hiver one needs to be consistent in giving out contents as well as actively involved in engagements. Consistency as an habit will definitely go a very long way in establishing one’s portfolio and presence I learnt.
In all honesty it was a really swell time hanging out with my fellow hivers based in Ibadan, Nigeria . It was a moment indeed to be cherished , no cap .
