Many people believe that free speech is merely the freedom to speak, to say whatever they wish to say and express their mind with no fear of censorship. However, freedom of speech is more than right to speak. It (free speech) is the freedom to speak one’s mind without the fear of retribution either immediately or anytime. There are situations where we claim to have the right to speak but ends in having a little or vague effect on our activities in the society or community. Lack of freedom has been the major problems in our society. The web communities are even getting scarier day to day.
The Mix of Speech
This is a way to express one’s feelings in a mixed tone in a new environment. It is a dynamic way of making a speech. I will use a democracy system currently practiced in Nigeria as an example. We all know that democracy allows the freedom of speech and give the chance for the citizens to criticize wrong actions from the President. The President does not like criticism and he is proposing a Social Media Regulatory Bill (SMRB). He framed this that all information that will be published must be facts, else there will be penalties for anyone that share information that is not genuine. The bill is still pending, but if passed, the freedom of speech will be limited, but mixed could be adopted by the people but is is not the best. The people and other good leaders are fighting this and we believe we will win.
Censorship

The primary reason that limit freedom of speech is from human mind. Leaders do not want anyone to get into their thick skin. They will claim one's speech to be offensive, harmful, or inconvenient if it is not what they want. Even while they do absurd things, they still want to be on the top with no criticism or fault. In other to live in a good world, we should all feel comfortable with criticisms. This is the only way to get a real change.
Blockchain
The web 2.0 websites have been highly polluted with centralization and censorship. Most of them are companies that are owned by a different individual with a different attitude. YouTube shut down many users’ channels, and they claimed things that are not of point. When you try to reach them, they will ignore and ruin users’ reputation.
The basic benefits of Blockchain technology are decentralization, transparency, immutability and security. The world is already turning to blockchain because of these reasons, but the blockchain is already losing one of the fundamental benefits which is decentralization. I can’t relate this with many blockchains for now, but Steem. Steem is already worst a centralized chain than other web 2 applications, and we need a change. Aside from the fact that he(Justin) took over, we need to make sure that he does not derail the fundamental reason of the blockchain technology.
Fee Speech worth saving
I strongly support freedom of speech, and we all need to do something in saving it. Most of the world tech leaders are ruling using the monarchy system and surviving there has turned users to dance to their tone. What is fun in living in fear? I still believe that all communities and societies must have rules in other to reduce unlawful acts. But putting fears in a users' mind on the web needs to end.

Freedom is speech is an essential human right, and it is the right to speak that can bring a good chance to increase a community. One major benefit of free speech is that it will give the right for everybody to speak freely and this will give the ability to listen to people’s opinions on situations or pressing matters.
Value of free speech includes the growth of society as people love to live in a zone where they can talk freely. Freedom is speech gives prosperity, growth, happiness, love and the economic development of a community.
The whole web needs to be like Hive where there is no limit, no centralized power and with absolute freedom of speech.
