Thank you! happy to participate :)

Thank you for sharing. I'll have to look into the medicinal properties of these. My mistake that submitted one that does not first fruit in Spring. I misunderstood the post to mean that we should submit

Thanks for the tips. I'm hoping to find some fresh lion's mane so that I can try growing it from spore at home.

Here is my entry: a fairy door in the forest.

These are actually the first Birch polypores I've ever come across, so I'm very happy that I found them in such good condition. I plan on uploading these images to my iNaturalist account soon as well.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll take a look at the Picture A Day and AmazingNature challenge. There is a small lake about a half mile from where most of these pictures were taken whose water level is high

I like the overlays on the artist's bracket. I gave wood-burning one a shot after you had mentioned it to me, and I didn't have as much success as I had hoped for. I don't think I am used to how quickly

Thank you! Now is a great time of year to look for them!

Thank you very much. It was pretty amazing, felt lucky to have been there to witness it. I'll check out the contest. Thanks for the heads up!

Great find! Definitely some kind of polypore, (possibly part of either the Fomes or Phellinus genus?). Examples: If you are interested in identifying mushrooms, I would suggest checking out mushroomexpert.com,

Hopefully soon! Today I came across my first fruiting of oysters for the year as well.

Thank you! I went out again today, so hopefully I'll have some more pictures uploaded soon enough :)
