Thanks for the heads up. I'll take a look at the Picture A Day and AmazingNature challenge.

There is a small lake about a half mile from where most of these pictures were taken whose water level is high enough to keep the low-lying areas permanently inundated in this part of the forest. They even have a little shack set up off one trail that they have dubbed "The Swamp House" where I assume reserve staff give talks/demonstrations to visitors.

I'll be back later this Spring once things warm up a bit more to see how things change!
