Yes it's a choice on choosing wether we become the better version of ourselves and experience is one of those things that contribute to our choice. But experience and growth our part our lives and the best we can do is to learn from it. Life we not always be perfect but we have to be grateful just like you did and focus positivity instead on looking back on what have gone wrong.
