Hi Hivers,
It's with great pleasure that am welcoming everyone to my blog and I hope you're all doing well and having a great day.
I would love to share with you about my new turkey birds (poults) that my female turkey bird hatched some days ago.
After the hatching, I decide to separate them from their mother since female turkey birds are usually careless and they usually stepped on their young ones. So to prevent from losing more of the poult since I have already lost one of them to such situation. Then I have to move them in to the cage ASAP.
Since, the hatching day comes too early. I couldn't moved them (Poults) in to the cage immediately because the condition of the cage is not okay.
I should have moved them in to the cage yesterday but I was hold down by malaria fever. When I took some drugs, I was a little bit relieved but I later had a long night as I couldn't get to sleep throughout the night.
Thanks to my wife who prepares me some medicinal herbs. Then I regain some of my strength and I try all my possible best to do all the needful.
I have to first clean the cage, and then do the bedding by spreading the saw dust on the floor surface of the cage to make it more comfortable for the poults. I patch up all the necessary hole on the cage and I cover the sides of the cage with canopies to prevent cold breeze from entering since there is so much cold during this period in my area.
After all that, I do the needful electrical work by supplying the cage with light. The light will help them to be able to feed during the night and keep them warm as well.
Then, I washed the drinker and the plastic tray feeder and I left them under the sun to dry off for some time before I filled the drinker with water and put some feed inside their feeder.
And finally, I was able to moved them in the cage and they are looking much so comfortable in it. I hope that the malaria fever is gone fully before tomorrow so I can regain all my strength back.
Thanks for visiting my blog and have a wonderful day
