Yesterday Is Gone, Today Is My Chance to Build the Tomorrow I Dream Of
Hello Hives,
There are times I sit down and think about how life has been for me. I remember some of the decisions I made in the past, the opportunities I couldn't take, and some things I wish I had done differently.
Sometimes I even imagine how my life would have been if I had taken a different direction. But no matter how much I think about it, one thing remains the samewill always be, yesterday is gone, and there is no way to bring it back.
I believe many of us have experienced this feeling at one point or another. Maybe you had an opportunity that you didn't take seriously, or you made a decision that you later regretted. It could even be a relationship you wish had worked out or a particular stage of your life you wish you could experience again. We are human, and sometimes we make decisions without knowing how things will turn out.
But what is the point of spending every day thinking about what we cannot change?
I am not saying we should forget our past or pretend that nothing happened. There are some experiences we need to remember because they teach us important lessons. If we made mistakes yesterday, we should try not to repeat them today. If we failed at something, we should understand what went wrong and see how we can do better next time.
However, I have come to understand that allowing yesterday's problems to control today's life will only make things more difficult. We cannot move forward properly when our minds are always occupied with things that have already happened.
I always treatthe present as another opportunity to work towards the kind of future I want. I may not be where I want to be financially or in other areas of my life, but I don't want that to stop me from making efforts. Working in the plumbing field has taught me that good results require patience and consistency. You don't just connect pipes and expect everything to work perfectly without proper planning. Sometimes you have to go back, correct mistakes and make adjustments before getting the result you want.
I see life in a similar way, I have dreams of becoming more established in my work and eventually building something bigger through farming, especially poultry farming, I know these things won't happen overnight. There are things I need to learn, money I need to save and preparations I need to make. I might not achieve everything this year, but at least I can do something today that will bring me closer to those dreams.
Another thing I am learning is that while preparing for tomorrow, we shouldn't forget to live today. Some people are so busy trying to make their future better that they hardly have time for their families or even themselves. We keep saying we will enjoy life when we have enough money, when we become successful or when everything finally falls into place.
But who promised us that tomorrow?
I want to work hard, achieve my dreams and give my family a comfortable life, but I also want to enjoy the little moments along the way. Having money is important, but being present for the people who make life meaningful is important too.
We all know that nobody can go back and change yesterday. We all have things we wish we had done differently, and that's part of being human. What matters is what we decide to do with the time we still have.
Yesterday has passed, tomorrow is still ahead of us, but today is in our hands.
Let's stop allowing the regrets of yesterday to waste the opportunities we have today. We may not have the power to change our past, but we still have a chance to make our future better.
