There's this huge debate over big government and small government. Here's the thing. The government is like Santa. It'll exist so long as we believe in it. The size of it is unmeasurable. Is the government useful for some certain things? Do you trust the society you live in? It would seem we don't due to how polarized our politics have become. There were good candidates to vote for, there will be every election cycle. This last election cycle both sides just really didn't want to lose.
I have my own political views, of course, for instance, I don't see how lowering the taxes on people who aren't hurting for money is going to help those who are. Taxes are how we pay for the country. The businesses that are the most successful here owe us the most money. The richest people are who you tax first. People who don't have money are who you tax last. It's not that complicated. No, you don't take all their money. Yes, if they're more successful, they should have something that goes along with that. Having a better country to live in, in my opinion, is part of that.
