I want to thank those of you who have chosen to follow me so far. I hope to create content worth reading for all my subscribers. I do intend to have a fairly large audience if at all possible, but that will either happen or it won't over time. Hopefully, it'll be a fun journey along the way. To be honest, I didn't expect to even get 1 subscriber within a week, so I'm already pretty smitten. Now that I'm at 10 subscribers, I have a whole extra digit to take care of. I look forward to the days I have more.
Hopefully, if I do get popular enough, I can help spread the wealth and help influence other people to do the same. We could have an exciting future up ahead as an intelligent society. There are numerous materials to be mined out in space, and it can all be done robotically. Yes, getting the system set up in the first place is going to cost us time and effort, but it also gives us something to do when we get up in the morning, as Elon Musk puts it. I love him for helping pioneering landable rockets as well as some other noteworthy RND projects. If it were not for him investing his own money and resources into it, we'd likely not have that yet. (I think we all agree something of this nature was bound to happen, however)
That's not to mention all the natural wonders on Earth that will continue to exist so long as we continue to take care of and respect things. (Which we could certainly do a better job of as a whole of society)
Then there's something else that only the last few generations have really had access to. Video games. Now I don't agree with playing video games all day every day like some people. Breaks are needed. Also, there are plenty of cool things to go out and see in the 'real' world anyway. However, some of the things people can create with their minds rival that which you could find in person, truly. There are any number of kinds of video games out there, so, unless you just don't like games or having fun, there is one for you. But that's really only something to be said for the imagination and what's possible to be thought of and created.
