When you've been living in your 8 bit world far to long its hard to get used to the real world again. Eating hundreds of man sized coins and jumping huge flagpoles day in, day out, is not a normal thing. Coins don't tend to digest very well and flagpoles aren't for jumping.. And you don't respawn after you fall off a Cliff. These things don't happen where we live and they should not be attempted. Oh, and mushrooms don't give you super Powers..
