You must actually BE homeless before you can learn what to do. Because your FIRST act is to prove that you are homeless with a "letter of homelessness" from an accepted homelessness business.
It took almost TEN years to finally get out; 6 years living on the streets of Georgia and Los Angeles, then nearly 4 more in an inner-city "transitional living house" with 11 other men.
The day that I got the call that I had been approved for housing and that a place was available became one of the greatest moments of my life.
