Hace poco cumplí el hacer uno de mis cosplay soñados el cual es Sakura Kinomoto de "Sakura card captor" con el primer y más icónico traje que usa. Este traje siempre lo tuve en mente y me dije que en el momento que lo hiciera tenía que verse justo como yo quería, muy lindo, esponjoso y lleno de detalles, pensé en mandar a hacerlo o comprarlo, hay muchos en venta, pero ninguno me convencía hasta que un día navegando por aliexpress encontré este traje de sakura que no llevaba mucho tiempo a la venta y al verlo supe que era lo que buscaba así que trabaje mucho para poder comprarlo hasta que lo pedí.
I recently accomplished making one of my dream cosplay which is Sakura Kinomoto from "Sakura card captor" with the first and most iconic costume she wears. I always had this suit in mind and I told myself that the moment I made it it had to look just the way I wanted, very cute, fluffy and full of details, I thought about having it made or buying it, there are many for sale, but none of them suited me. I was convinced until one day browsing Aliexpress I found this sakura suit that hadn't been on sale for long and when I saw it I knew it was what I was looking for so I worked hard to be able to buy it until I ordered it.

Llego el día de buscarlo y estaba muy emocionada, fui a recoger el paquete y la caja era enorme así que para celebrar el cumplir con mi sueño de hacer este cosplay fui a una cafetería a por tequeños y chocolate caliente.
The day arrived to look for it and I was very excited, I went to pick up the package and the box was huge so to celebrate fulfilling my dream of making this cosplay I went to a cafe for some tequeños and hot chocolate.
Ya luego al llegar a casa hice el respectivo unboxing y el traje era tal cual la imagen, el vestido y los detalles, todo tan hermoso, el traje traía el vestido, el fondo, gorro, alas, guantes y medias, la peluca la pedí aparte ya que no venía con el traje igual que los lentes de contacto.
Then when I got home I did the respective unboxing and the suit was just like the image, the dress and the details, everything was so beautiful, the suit came with the dress, the background, the hat, wings, gloves and stockings, I ordered the wig separately since it did not come with the suit as well as the contact lenses.
Normalmente cuando se compra un traje hay que hacerle arreglos, en este caso debía cortar mucho largo de falda y es que tengo una estatura bastante baja y el traje me quedaba por debajo de las rodillas, el traje debe quedar bastante arriba para que luzcan las medias y y que se vea pomposo.
Normally when you buy a suit you have to make alterations, in this case I had to cut a lot of skirt length and I have a fairly short height and the suit was below my knees, the The suit should be high enough to show off the tights and make it look pompous.
Con ayuda de una vecina que es costurera y la ayuda de mi mamá se logró cortar el largo de falda al que quería. A una de mis gatitas al parecer le gustaba mucho el traje y se la pasaba curioseando cada vez que estaba cerca .
With the help of a neighbor who is a seamstress and the help of my mother, I was able to cut the length of the skirt to what I wanted. One of my kitties apparently really liked her outfit and she kept snooping around every time she was near her.
Al traje le faltaba unos lazos rojos y es que como tal los lazos forman parte del zapato pero en esta ocasión no contaba con ellos ya que tenia unos zapatos rojos muy lindos de un anterior cosplay y servian para este asi que yo misma hice los lazos para completar el detalle de los pies .
The costume was missing some red bows and as such the bows are part of the shoe but on this occasion I did not have them since I had very nice red shoes from a previous cosplay and they were useful For this one I made the bows myself to complete the detail of the feet.
Para este cosplay quería hacer varios accesorios y referencias al personaje. El báculo del sello mi papá de ofreció a hacerlo por mí, el utilizo una base de metal, la punta de abajo la hizo un amigo de él que tallo la pieza en metal, la parte de arriba otro amigo de él le hizo el favor de modelarla y sacarla en su impresora 3D. El báculo quedó espectacular solo que es de metal y lastimosamente muchas convenciones no dejan pasar props hechos con metal así que tendré que hacer otro, aunque este si lo dejaron pasar a la convención que asistí.
For this cosplay I wanted to make several accessories and references to the character. My dad offered to make the seal staff for me, he used a metal base, the bottom tip was made by a friend of his who carved the piece out of metal, the top part was done by another friend of his. model it and output it on your 3D printer. The staff turned out spectacular, except that it is made of metal and unfortunately many conventions do not allow props made with metal to pass so I will have to make another one, although this one was allowed to pass at the convention I attended.
Les prometo que yo si trabajo en mis cosplays no todo lo hacen mi familia y vecinos XD. Lo siguiente que quería era un círculo giratorio de cartas, lo había visto por Internet y me parecían tan geniales así que decidí hacerlo uno yo.
I promise you that I do work on my cosplays, not everything is done by my family and neighbors XD. The next thing I wanted was a spinning circle of cards, I had seen it online and they looked so cool so I decided to make one myself.
Para hacer el circulo giratorio de cartas use acetato grueso para la base, para hacer el hueco donde va el dedo para hacerlo girar, con un cúter recorte en forma de círculo lo más que pude y con una lija termine de darle forma hasta que quedara uniforme.
To make the rotating circle of cards, I used thick acetate for the base, to make the hole where the finger goes to make it rotate, with a cutter cut out the circle shape as much as I could and with sandpaper finished shaping it until it was uniform.
Las cartas clow las mandé a imprimir, hubo un inconveniente ya que les dije que era para hacerlas cartas, pero las cartas que traen a los personajes las imprimieron de un tamaño más grande que las del reverso, pero lo resolví pintando el borde y quedo bastante bien.
I sent the clow cards to be printed, there was a problem since I told them it was to make them cards, but the cards that come with the characters were printed in a larger size than the ones on the back , but I solved it by painting the edge and it turned out pretty good.

El último detalle que agregar para el traje sería un peluche de kero, tome la base de un muñeco que hizo mi abuela aprovechando su forma y tamaño que se adaptaban muy bien a kero, lo que hice fue forrar el muñeco con tela, hacer su orejas, la cola la hice con un hilo que se conoce como "cola de ratón" y al final de la cola le coloque una mota de tela polar, pinte su rostro con pintura para tela, sus alas las hice con foami blanco y los detalles con pintura al frío, es el primer peluche que hago así que no es el mejor peluche pero tiene su encanto.
The last detail to add to the costume would be a kero stuffed animal, I took the base of a doll that my grandmother made taking advantage of its shape and size that adapted very well to kero, which I did was to cover the doll with fabric, make its ears, I made the tail with a thread known as a "mouse tail" and at the end of the tail I placed a speck of polar fabric, painted its face with fabric paint, its I made the wings with white foam and the details with cold paint, it is the first stuffed animal I have made so it is not the best stuffed animal but it has its charm.
Así es como luego de trabajar en los props y arreglos en el traje quedó el resultado final. Realmente amo este traje, ame hacer a sakura ademas de que este es el tipo de cosplays que más me gusta usar, lleno de muchos detalles, muy pomposo y no sé cómo decirlo tal vez muy rosita y femenino?. Lo llevaré a muchas convenciones conmigo.
This is how after working on the props and arrangements on the suit the final result was. I really love this costume, I loved making Sakura and this is the type of cosplay that I like to wear the most, full of many details, very pompous and I don't know how to say it, maybe very pink and feminine? I will take it to many conventions with me.
Este cosplay lo guardé para una convención nueva que se hizo en mi ciudad, hasta el año pasado en mi ciudad nunca se habían hecho convenciones y desde que empezaron eh ido a todas, esta convención prometió mucho y al final no fue buena, pero tuve la oportunidad de estrenar este cosplay.
I saved this cosplay for a new convention that was held in my city, until last year there had never been conventions in my city and since they started I have been to all of them, this convention promised a lot and in the end it wasn't good, but I had the opportunity to debut this cosplay.
